A Hair of The Dog
The companion-table is a favourite spot for grooming - I have blipped this corner of our garden before. Here it is in sunshine (just) and in deep snow. I have shown a close-up of the grooming.
Today, Molly was happy to be brushed here, but Jess found it to hot!! She insisted on being taken into the shade. I decided to stick with this spot, however, because I was caught by the sight of all the dog-hair in the cheminea. (Look at it in large.) This is a convenient place - it tends not to blow away, and so nesting birds can take some away if they need it. And if any is left, it is a form of kindling for when we fire it up.
The cheminea was a wedding present, and over the years we have made good use of it. It has been used for boiling potatoes and for keeping Chinese take-aways warm. And it is ideal for keeping midges away on a late evening sit-out in summer. It has even been used to boil water to heat a bath for Jess. (But she was not appreciative!)

Edit: Since some of their hair is not really a blip of Jess & Molly, I have decided to add another of my back-blips: Birthday Girl.
