Tradeston Bridge and Clydeport Building, Glasgow!

OK...here's Number 2 in my night Architecture 'series'!!! And not a bad first attempt at using my 'manual' button, choosing ISO, aperture and shutter speed all by myself!!!! Give me credit!!! Lol!!!! Still have in no way mastered it...finally took some good old 'auto' shots to see the difference, and it used some 'delayed shutter'??!! But this gave me that light blue sky again!!! So I actually chose one of my own attempts to blip!!! YEAH!!!

This is a shot of the Tradeston Footbridge....

'The Tradeston Bridge (informally known as the "Squiggly Bridge") is a pedestrian bridge across the River Clyde in Glasgow which opened on 14 May 2009.

The design was prepared by Dissing+Weitling, a Danish architectural firm, with the UK engineers Halcrow Group. The bridge was built by BAM Nuttall.

It cost £7million to construct and is used by pedestrians and cyclists with no motorised traffic being allowed upon it. It uses a cable-stayed design, albeit with a horizonally curved S-shaped span with outward canting on both curves.'

The shot is looking across the Clyde River towards the Clydeport Building with it's lovely Dome....

'The Clydeport Building, headquarters of what was originally the Clyde Navigation Trust and then the Clyde Port Authority, was designed by J J Burnet and built using Giffnock stone by Morrison & Mason, 1883-1886.

As befits the headquarters of one of the most powerful bodies in Glasgow, the building was designed to a high specification and rivals the City Chambers for the magnificence of its interior. Stone cleaning and floodlighting in 1986 enhanced the rich architectural features of the building's exterior.'

The focus on the Clydeport building isn't the best, but a closer veiw can be seen here, if interested!! Though this image isn't the sharpest either!! The other buildings are mainly offices.....

Hope you find this reasonably interesting!!! I had a lot of fun at it!!! And met several other folk taking shots!!! Lol!! So I wasn't the only crazy tripod woman out there!!!!!!!!!

Off to bed now!!!!! Night!!!!
