School's out

Left the office early today to get back home to sort out Hugo.

In the centre of Letchworth is a large (ish) square, with fountains, lawns and flowerbeds laid out, called Kennedy gardens. It seemed that every kid from every school in letchworth had finished for the day and congregated in the square to chill out, mess about and be kids.

It looked fantastic! The sun was shining, everyone was relaxed and happy, a really wonderful atmosphere.

The reason I had returned early was to sort Hugo out with money, grub and last minute stuff for his trip to Ladakh. I joined the small throng of parents waving off these young teenagers on what is likely to be the trip of a lifetime.

I was really excited for them and pleased on their behalf and frankly a little bit envious but it was good to see them go. Now where is my source of emergency blips?
