Blencathra 1- Me 0
Stu somehow persuaded me to join him for an nice afternoon run.
Running up Blencathra, in the Northern Lake District, with 2000ft ascent in little more than 2.5 miles is not a nice afternoon run!
(I say running, however, that would be stretching the dictionary definition somewhat...)
Stu gave me a 4 minute head start, probably thinking we'd summit al la Hillary/Tensing. After about 10 minutes he was passed and away. Very impressive watching him run all the way non-stop, then turn around, run back down to me and run up again.
Very busy with fell walkers/runners today, no doubt due to the weather. Temperature was 32 C on the way up. (Well it felt like it anyways)
Nice run down though.
Directly in line with Stu are the Dodds leading to Helvellyn, and to the right St John's in the Vale
