methinks I see fairies

I went out and about today. There's a park/sports ground opposite my place of work that, in ten years, I've never visited. Signs of advancing Spring and hints of approaching Summer are everywhere.

Of the shots I took, these Primroses were my favourite. I'll have to start looking out for Wood Anemones soon. Then it'll be time for the Bluebells :0)

In folk lore, primroses are reputed to attract fairies to the garden and in order to invite the fairy folk to visit and to get fairy blessings, householders are encouraged to hang a spray of primroses on their door.

It is also claimed that eating primroses will help you to see fairies and in Celtic lore, rubbing primrose flowers over your eyelids can give you a way into the fairy world.
