A calm morning means an early start
Today is the calmest morning for many days. The fishermen must make the most of special days like today. Of course this means rising early getting down to the boat and slipping the mooring as quickly as possible.
Here we see Simon slipping his mooring in his vessel 'Enchanmted'. He was not the first to depart but there was only just enough light to capture his departing.
Even so the image is very grainy due the the fast ISO speed required to capture the moment. We had hoped that we would see a sunny morning this morning but alas, once again, that is the pleasure or the south of the UK. Here it is dull and overcast.
Already I have spoken to one of the boats to order fresh prawns. Hopefully they will arrive about 5-00 o'clock this afternoon, in time for us to prepare them ready to serve in our wee restaurant.
The season has started well with some early visitors to the Isle of Skye. Let us hope that it will be another busy season.
