Newcastle Gateshead Quay Side

Despite being born in Blaydon and living and working on Tyneside for some 40 years, I never really did the whole 'tourist' thing!!

Having visited the Angel of the North (which I blipped on Sunday) my husband and I decided to explore the Quay Side. This photo is taken on the north side of the river on the Newcastle side but those fabulous buildings belong to Gateshead.

In view you can see the Gateshead Millennium Bridge, Baltic Art Centre and the Sage with Newcastle's Tyne Bridge in the distance.
