Gone forever

A sad think will take place shortly. That sad event will be the last drop of Whisky from my last remaining bottle I received from the Scotch Malt Whisky Society from my membership pack. Upon joining four bottles of rare whisky are given to members as a sample of what they can expect from the society. Below is the tasting notes for the four bottles I received.

37.44 Aged 16 Years

Elephants dance Flamenco
The nose has powerful spices, vanilla coke and treacle toffee, water brings out coconut, saunas and marmalade. The palate delivers flamenco rhythms of figs, walnuts and sticky toffee pudding, passionately danced on wooden bodega floor.

48.19 Aged 9 Years

Magners Farewell
This is all apples. Squashed, dry cider, Cox's pippins and with water apple skins, fresh cut red and green apples (with a hint of cinnamon). A sweet and tangy taste, with fresh home-made cider.

53.153 Aged 9 Years

Ambush by the Sound of Islay
The nose has barbequed ribs, heather and carbolic. Vanilla and fudge come through with water. The palate is like an ambush with flavours of tarry rope, toffee apples and parma violets, Water tames it.

125.28 Aged 12 Years

Wether's Original in a tweed jacket
The nose starts with toffees then shifts to chocolate raisins and candied oranges. Water broadens it - honeyed straw and tweed jackets. The palate, lively, concentrated and complex, has vanilla, dark chocolate, orange peel and chili.
