Postpuppy!

This is me carrying my Aunty Beth's birthday card all the way to the post-box! Mum said it was hard to get a photo because everytime we stopped walking I dropped the card to have a sniff around!

We have had a kind of quiet day so far (mum has just raised her eyebrows at me??!!!) it's lovely sunny day which means I have had 2 lovely walks already. My first walk was at 8.30 this morning & it was really nice. Mum let me off the lead as we walked through the woods pathway & I remembered to be a good girl & come when she called me. When we got to the roadway on the other side I saw a yummy magnolia tree & nearly pulled mums arm off to get to it. She wouldn't let me eat any petals though....boo

Our walk this afternoon was by a lovely lake that we hadn't been to before. I had to stay on the lead though because there were LOADS of ducks & swans & mum said it would be too much temptation for me to resist. Boo mum, you are really being a spoilsport today.

At the lake I met a REALLY old collie called Merlin. He is 12, He is blind in 1 eye and had a football he was playing with. His mum & daddy talked to my mum & they said it was best I left Merlin alone because he could be grumpy, especially when he had his ball. But then all of a sudden Merlin came and gave me his ball to play with! WOW it was a lovely ball. A football that was flat. I had a good old chew on it whilst Merlin watched me very carefully. I laid on my back for Merlin & wagged my tail to show him I am friendly & nice. He watched me for a while & then he gave a growl which told me that it was time to give it back to him.

I'm now having a sleep in my cool kitchen as it's very hot in the garden for a busy puppy like me! I have been drinking water from the end of the hosepipe though. I love that. We nearly put a picture up of me doing that but then we wanted everyone to see how clever I am at carrying the card to the postbox :-)

I'm soooo excited because Daddy is home tonight. Mum & I have been on our own all week. It's going to be great to have daddy to play with again (mum is looking forward to me playing with him for a while, instead of her too!)

ps mum has just heard from the vet. Apparently I have got Camplyobater :-( thats why my tummy keeps getting upset. I have 10 days of antibiotics to take. Now she has no idea what to do with all these different foods we have here or which one to give me. I say just give me them all mum, I am sure I can manage to eat it!
