West Highland Railway

Finally got round to back blipping our trip to London for the Scotland Brazil game. Well I need to do something since I am supposed to be resting the injured foot which the doctir reckons has a broken bone in there and it is now strapped up. Wonder how much good that will do after having travelled to London and wandered around aboth down there and back home for 3 weeks with the said injury. Just as well my sturdy walking boots and thick socks gave it support.

Anyway that's enough of the injury and all you will be hearing about it from now on , you'll be glad to know that I'm sure!

The day we set of for London was glorious, a beautiful warm spring day. We drove to Arrocher and spent about an hour and a half wandering and pretending to be tourists taking in the sights. Got lots oflovely Loch Lomond shots but as this is meant to be a report on our trip thought I would upload a shot of the West Wighland Line taken from the end of the Arrocher - tarbet platform.

I would have liked to have included the train in the shot but it was an insignificant , grotty looking train. I actually feel sorry for visitors to our country looki forward to atrip on thefamous West Highland Line if this is how they travel. The wonderful views are spoiled by the dirty windows and the train has a uncared for feel about it.
