Busy bees

It was a glorious day today - too bad most of it was spent indoors. I did manage a very quick walk at lunchtime (after a quick trip to Costco in search of big tins of sweets). It was very warm and so sunny I didn't really want to go back indoors.

There were lots of insects about - I saw this small bee, a huge orange-bottomed bumble bee, about 4 orange-tipped butterflies and hundreds of ladybirds (including a small yellow one - probably Propylea quattuordecimpunctata or the 14 spot yellow ladybird).

Tired now and another busy day ahead tomorrow....
