In a Safe Place

The swans up the road have started making their nest. They have managed to pick one of the least accessible, safest spots on the loch, so hopefully the eggs that will be laid in the said nest will result in a whole new crop of signets.

Watching them move in a rhythmic fashion, picking reeds from the water in front of them, depositing it neatly around them, was very intriguing. Bit by bit, hour by hour, the nest will take shape. It put making my bed in the morning into perspective at least.
