Broken

I bit my nails for years, as a child, as a teenager and as an adult, I would imagine that I stopped about 10 years ago. I hate how I'm left with short, stubby nails, but it's my own doing so I shouldn't moan.

Last September, on Day 2 and Day 3 of this project I was in Dublin, three nails broke and I didn't have my nail clippers with me (the perils of flying with only hand luggage!), so I bit all my nails down. It's taken ages for them to grow again but finally I got the nail polish out on Friday. The today I sat down in my chair and smoothed my skirt under me, somehow I caught a nail on the seat and I heard the nail snap.

I refuse to cut them all down to match so the red had been traded for a less obvious pink, for now.
