New Roof
Just putting the finishing touches to the New Roof at the
NY Moors Railway Station in Pickering.
This is the first time since 1951 that there has been a roof
over both platforms.
The NYM Railway has invested £500.000 in restoring the roof,
it replicates the original design by GT Andrew in the 1840s.
It further enhances this Grade 2 Listed building. This is all part
of a £1.5m being spent to further regenerate this station.
Well worth a visit and to ride on the train, which takes you
through some beautiful countryside. If your a Steam fan
its Heaven for you!!!!
