The Sport's Page

Sport isn't my passion, especially football, but over the years I have realised the need to have some passing acquaintance with what is happening on the current or local sporting scene in order to more easily relate to people I wanted to befriend. When living in Portsmouth, it was easy to join the celebrations when the football team went into the Premier Division & then won the FA Cup, but then there was the need to sympathise with the real fans when the club faced bankruptcy and relegation.

Today at the church planters conference we have been talking about many issues including when to be culturally sensitive and when to be countercultural. Interesting discussions.
