Plenty of plums this year!
This morning at 6 am I was stood in a field in my PJ's and wellies listening for my phone!
I lost my phone taking pictures of power kites. the phone was on silent and in a sleeve so I had to wait for the alarm to go off to enable me to hear it. Being slightly hard of hearing and the dawn chorus drowned out any chance of that so out came the rake. Have you ever tried to rake a 5 acre field? Not easy let me tell you! Three hours later and still no phone.
The battery was dead on the metal detector so I enlisted the help of a friend and we stood side by side and walked, and walked, and walked. My eagle eyed friend eventually spotted it and I am now reunited with my phone. :-)
The moral of the story: Don't jump around fields with expensive smart phones in loose pockets!
