Mousethwaite Comb.
Quick run up Blencathra at dinner time. In rain and clag all the way. No views to be had till I got to Mousethwaite Comb on the descent.
My car can be seen in the car park at the bottom of the photo. Just beyond that the thunderous A66. The next road that can be seen is the old A66, that I used to travel on as a young boy visiting my grandparents in Keswick.
In the distance the old Penrith-Keswick railway line can be just made out, the viaduct is all that remains, which is a real shame too.
