Scales and Arpeggios
Day 204
Saw my first ever bit lizard surgery and anaesthesia today. Amazingly, it was absolutely textbook. Anaesthesia was a dream (went to sleep when it was supposed to, stayed asleep, and then woke up when it was supposed to) and the surgery went perfectly too.
This female green iguana had been kept in a parrot cage for the last 4 years of it's life, and concequently was suffering from tail necrosis due to it's poor husbandry. So the vet amputated two thirds of it's tail. I hope she doesn't miss it!
