Puerto Rico - Day 1

Kim, Eunice, Ellen and I made our debut in Puerto Rico. We landed approximately at 11:00AM and did not waste any time. We got our rental car and drove to our hotel at the Verdanza. We were greeted with coconut ice and headed straight to the beach and the snow in New York when we left was a thing of the past. Afterwards we drove to El Yunque rainforest where I drove up endlessly to the top where there were scenic views and waterfalls. Then we went to the Bioluminescent Bay in Fajardo to see the glowing organisms. We had to kayak a mile upstream to get to the bay which was an adventure in itself. Once it got dark, our tour guide instructed us to put our hand in the water and a blue glow surrounded our hand. The image will be forever etched in my memory as I saw nothing like it before. I was in awe and it instantly became my favorite moment in Puerto Rico.
