One of our dinosaurs is missing
On the way to my son's piano recital we spotted a small group of dinosaurs on the pavement opposite with a gleaming metal bowl in front of them.
There was nothing else around them at all. No sign, no prices, nothing. Clearly they were for sale - and a pound coin in the bowl suggested one or more had gone already.
I liked the quirkiness of the scene - this group alone with nothing else around them. I took the pic and moved on.
200 yards further on by a turning a paper sign pinned to a fence said in red ink 'Dinosaurs for sale' with an arrow pointing back down the road. It was the most minimal sales marketing I had ever seen.
Walking back later, we passed a child in a buggy happily clutching the large black dinosaur and there was an extra 50p in the bowl.
The minimal approach clearly worked.
