Off to Glasgow today to see mary and Gracie. very exciting! haven't caught up with them is ages. Had a very amusing journey there. 3 missed trains at Haymarket (or trains that never arrived), herded onto a Bathgate train (under the pretence that it was being rerouted via Glasgow Central), then told that actually it was going to Queen Street. Then, just as we approached Bathgate the tannoy informed us that actually the train was terminating at Bathgate and we would have to make an "onward connection" - with no mention of what that might be. So off we got, only ten minutes later to be asked to get back on as the driver had decided to take us anyway. Proper mystery tour of wee stations that i've never been to. Brilliant it was too as I had a couple of nice chats with some wegies - it's true. The folk from the west are much friendlier.
