Pieces of a Jigsaw Puzzle

Crumbling Ruins ...

... almost!!

What you see here is the preserved part of the Shahi Qila (Lahore Fort). The Fort is an amalgamation of Mughal, Sikh and Hindu Architecture.

Got up early in the morning and went to photograph the Qila. It was not as fulfilling as the Badshahi Mosque last Sunday. The mosque is well kept and preserved. The Qila on the other hand spans over 42 Acres, has 22 monuments and most of it is in bad shape.

I have visited the Qila as a child but have no distinct memories of it. Visiting such historical places makes me think and think very hard about many things.

Its afternoon now and we have a tea party in the evening for which we have to prepare. Need to rest a while before that.

Wishing everyone a great weekend.

P.S. Can you see elephants on both the sides of the collage? Take a closer look and view large
