A surprise of helicopter proportions

Yesterday a spring walk in the park and tootle round the duck pond with a friend and her son turned into a flying-run-with-buggy-changing-bag-and-coats-streaming-behind-us pelt. The reason? The regional air ambulance was circling to land in the park as the closest landing spot to the local hospital. Knowing our boys would LOVE to see it land we ran to the spot. Once the onboard medics and patient had been taken to hospital the watching public were allowed to take a look at and into the air ambulance. Indeed the boys did love it- especially the take off which nearly blew us away and destroyed my hair style!!

Not just a walk in the park!
