Rest In Peace...

Today I lost a friend. A friend who killed herself. I dropped everything I was doing to drive 45 minutes away to gather with my friends as we learned the horrible news.

This woman was the brightest star, with the best smile and with a wit that made everyone laugh. She was wise beyond her years and had the type of personality you just do not forget.

When I came home, I picked apart my packed altar and found what I could to set up a make shift memorial candle. I carved her initial into it, and the words, 'gone, but not forgotten'.

Those words will ring true forever in the hearts and minds of her friends and family...
