Is this the best pub in England?
The 3 Stags Head in Wardlow Mire belonging to Geoff and Pat Fuller is an absolutely fabulous pub.
Over 300 tears old this is a step back in time with a difference.
Geoff and Pat are both world class potters and Geoff's work is particulary magnificent.
So distinctive that it doesn't require him to sign it.
This pub is a work of art everything it contains is original and a testimony to their way of life, from the hare with a gun in the window to the fantastic food with the ever changing menu determined by what has been shot or caught that day. Talk about organic!
All the fantastic food on offer is served on their beautiful handmade plates and dishes.
This is a pub that has changed nothing and gained everything, it's as though you've seen it before in a dream or in an old edition of World of Interiors.
If it was in London and fashion week, it would be the coolest venue in town.
But it's not in London it's in Wardlow Mire and you must visit and buy Geoffs pottery when its still within the realms of affordability.
