Typically Dutch - Kinderdijk
A typically Dutch scene at the very popular tourist attraction of Kinderdijk, a small village to the South of Rotterdam which features 19 windmills, and has been classed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997.
Though windmills such as these are a common sight all over The Netherlands, you won't see so many crammed together in such a small area anywhere else. A great place for a wander, we enjoyed a lovely but very blustery afternoon. I'll definitely plan a return visit though probably not at the height of the season, it was busy enough today! Bloody tourists!
