Phylloscopus collybita (Chiffchaff)
Moore Reserve today. Wonderful selection of birds, a fungus and a peacock butterfly.
The fungus was Sarcoscypha coccinea and was exceptionally red, the birds we saw and photographed were bullfinch, tree creeper, tawny owl and a very red necked dabchick that I will have to look up to be sure.
I was very pleased with the chiffchaff as they are usually too high in the canopy to be photographed properly and just torment us.
