Sewing
Two days ago I bought a nice skirt in the charity shop, I liked the colour, thought it would fit me and checked the length in the mirror in the shop. Well, when I put it on at home the length was rather wrong, it just didn't look right. I decided then that it would be my challenge for the weekend to shorten it by hand. Out I took my measuring band, needles etc and went to work. Cut 20cm off, zig-zagued by hand and hemmed it in. It looks much better now.
It was nice to get all these old sewing boxes out, I inherited them from my aunt (quite a while ago) and they remind me of her and this box in particular of my grandfather who used to have these pastilles in his pocket.
