Wild, windy and wet weather

I was out today doing the recce for the Knarsdale, Lambley and Eals walk with my backups plus Tony (who knew the route and came equipped with hacksaw to remove any obstructing branches). I wanted the blip to convey the strength of the wind and the rain that lashed us all morning. You have to take my word that the clouds were scudding by AND it was raining when this was taken. You can see that the prevailing wind is from the west by the shape of the tree.

In the afternoon the wind dropped a bit and we were walking through more sheltered woodlands.

It's a beautiful walk, even on a wild day like today.
