Friends or lovers?

Spring is in the air and people are spending more time outside. Today was sunny and 9C so not bad. The school year ends on Tuesday at the university so lots of emotions are fluttering about. I spied this pair in an animated conversation right below my window as I was leaving work. I'm thinking friends because they weren't touching, cuddling, or making out. They may still be at the early wooing stage like the mourning doves at home. Or, they could just be classmates chatting about upcoming exams, plans for the summer, or the bus they are waiting for...
