Well, it being the first day of April and all, I never expected to wake up to snow covering the ground, but the weather in New England is never what you expect. That is why I was surprised to come home and find that most of the snow had melted, leaving behind it a sure sign of spring. These are the first daffodils of the season and boy am I glad to see that they survived the frost! Their bright golden color and green leaves make me optimistic that finally the spring weather has arrived, but only time will tell I suppose.
