Welcome Home

The bronze life-size statues of a mother, her children and their dog are the work of the sculptor Anita Lafford and celebrate 'the heroic lives of Fleetwood's fishermen and their families'. It is situated on the seafront where wives and families would wave to their loved ones as they set off or returned from their trips.
Today I found real flowers in their arms, how touching. I will return again to capture them on a sunnier day looking out to sea.
