Otago Harbour Sunrise

Yesterday I closed Port pool for the Winter & today I drove over to tidy up a few loose ends & now I am officially on holiday for the next 6 weeks. A bit unreal at the moment but as I head off on my trip to Nepal on Sunday I am sure it will feel real very soon.
Stopped to take a few photos on my way over to Port this morning. Port Chalmers can be seen, as can Harbour Cone where I went adventuring the other day.
It has been great to work within a small community over the last 6 months. So different from working at a big aquatic centre. You get to know the people, for better or worse & see the community dynamics. The efforts of my labour can be seen and I feel that I have made a positive impact on the community. It's a good feeling to have about work where I spend so much time & expend much of my energy.
Now for 6 weeks of purely Karin time. Time to take a breath & go somewhere that will hopefully blow my mind & expand my understanding of the world I live in.
