The Big Stink!!
Kaz and I got up early and went into the city for my scan. Nothing was happening so I will have a blood test next Tuesday and then another scan next Thursday! We then went to Fountain Gate Shopping Centre and got a present for Kim's baby that hasn?t come yet and then we went to the movies!! We saw 'The Lincoln Lawyer' with Matthew McConaughey. It was really good!
We went home to collect the mail and get a few things from the house and as soon as we unlocked the door we knew something wasn't right. The house had a horrible smell to it so we looked in the kitchen at the fruit bowl, then the fridge, then the pantry and it wasn't until we went into the laundry that we found the culprit ? the freezer had been switched off at the wall so all the meat and stuff had been sitting there for two weeks with no refrigeration. It absolutely STUNK. There was blood on the floor around the bottom from the meat inside and I opened the door and had to run out the house dry retching! It was horrible. I couldn't go back in there at first so Kaz moved a few things from around the freezer so we could take it outside. I cleaned out the freezer outside while Kaz cleaned up the laundry. It took us about an hour and a whole bottle of disinfectant but we finally finished! Luckily we were coming back down to Sandy Point and didn't have to sleep there because the whole house stunk! We sprayed air freshener and left some windows open so hopefully by next Wednesday when we go home the smell will be gone!
We called in next door and saw Joe and Bev for a bit then did a couple of things in Warragul then came back to Mum and Dad's for tea and to pick up Spence!
On the way home from Warragul we stopped at the side of the road and I took some photos of an old house that I have had my eye on for a while as a potential blip! It was old and run down but still mostly intact until a tree fell down on it a couple of weeks ago. I have tone mapped it in Photomatix 4!
