JGHS in 2015

So this is what to expect in place of James Gillespie's High School ... in 2015

A public meeting tonight at the school with a pretty informative presentation and Q&A session, although as someone pointed out on the way home, there weren't many (any?) educational questions or anything to do with learning in this new, innovative, cutting edge space that will be fit for Curriculum for Excellence!

Yes you've guessed it, it was primarily about 'my view from Lauderdale Street' or wherever, and the fact 'I won't see the sunset becasue of the building that is going up' ... eh ... to educate the pupils and serve the local community, no?

Anyway, it does look very interesting and this blip shows where the main entrance will be, off Warrender Park Road, with the historic Bruntsfield House at the heart of the campus.

Starts Jan 2013; due to be completed in phases, but fully finished in 2015, by which time Wally II will have moved on to pastures new!
