Newington Green's brick terrace

This brick terrace is the oldest in England and it pre-dates the Great Fire of London. The terrace was built in 1658 and some of the most notable people who lived or visited there were Mary Wollstonecraft, Dr Richard Price and poet Samuel Rodgers.
