ex-bmi Gate at Glasgow Airport

Last Saturday evening bmi operated its last flight from Glasgow to London Heathrow. Luthansa (who own bmi) claim the service is purely suspended. Some suspension 7 return daily flights gone. All that is left is a token presence (one daily flight to Copenhagen and two to Leeds/Bradford).

Seven days previously this gate was busy with the boarding of BD009 - now look at it. Take it easy seems a bit hollow.

When bmi announce the withdrawal, it was a throw-away line at the bottom of a press release announce seven new daily flights to destinations across eastern Europe and northern Africa.
