Baby's first face mask!

Today saw us visiting the seaside - the weather is glorious just now, just spring , the flowers are blooming, the skies are blue, the fields are green, the sun is warming up and the days are lengthening.
Its not Zara's first visit to the beach however it was the first time we sat on the sand together and played.
We went with my lovely new friend Sarah and her new little son Jakob, all of 2 months.
My camera at hand i sat Zara on a small blanket and set some toys by her so she could play, however the sand was of more interest to her. she was happy playing away whilst i was happy blipping away. My attentions were turned to Sarah playing with her son Jakob, so i turned and shifted myself closer for a better composition, just about to blip and splat! Zara nose dived in to the sand reaching for spade!
I didn't know wether to laugh or cry so i did both with such merriment! Zara too after her inital state of stunned! began to smile her sandy, gritty smile! bless her it was everywhere!
I think however it was intentional on her part as when i began to wipe her clean she began to cry - mum you're spoiling my make up!!!
Our day ended with a dunk in the bath and she is now sand free and tucked up in bed sleeping peacefully. My little Angel of a daughter!
