Newbattle Abbey

I returned to Dalkeith today to finish off what I started on Monday. This time I took a 3 mile detour on the way home to get a quick picture of the Abbey which is now a college.

Too many cars parked in front so I went round the back for this one.

It was originally a Cistercian monastery and in its original form dates back to the 12th Century.
