Cutting straight to the tune.

This was taken at a local screening of An Island, a lovely film made by a chap called Vincent Moon following the above-linked Efterklang around their home on the Danish island of Als.

It's a beautiful, beautiful piece of work. It features live performances by the band in the woods, on the back of a truck, at the school they met at when they were kids, and one particularly heartwarming rendition in a barn with their families pitching in.

The film's subtext is all about community. So it's appropriate that instead of flogging a DVD they've been asking people - anyone - to hold screenings, so that people watch it together. And there've been loads all around the world. How *ace* is that?
