An hour for photography

I took an hour out for photography today and learned a bit about Topaz Denoise, a Photoshop filter.

This shot was taken through a glass sliding door during a deluge. It was hand-held and shot at ISO. It was noisy, but much better than what you might think. I used a Canon 5D Mk II.

Topaz Denoise did a great job of removing much of the noise while retaining the detail. You can still see the rain falling and splattering off the bird feeder.

BTW, this is just an experiment. It's not a Blip, really. No need to comment.
