Tree Loppers

I've invested in new tree loppers. They are made by Wolf (they are on the left in the blip). Wolf tools are good in the garden, I find.

Alongside the new loppers are the two old models I've been using. They were both inherited. My late father-in-law used to call them "Longshanks" and it is a name which has stuck, we still use it.

The new Longshanks promise ladderless tree pruning which is useful as I used to stand at the top of a pair of wooden stepladders with the old ones at full reach. I can't risk it anymore.

The sign? Well it used to be a name for Motor Spirit and, more recently, a favoured expletive on The Bill (now defunct).
