in the neighborhood...

We used to live up the hill from this freeway overpass and send our 6 year old off by himself (with the other neighborhood kids) about a mile to the school you see across the freeway, over 2 overpasses. Now he walks his own daughter 1 1/2 blocks to her school every day. He thinks we were crazy.
