The black gate of mordor has fallen! (See here and here) After lasting for a week and a day, the glassy barriers closed too soon and were crushed upon a steely chariot. The splinters flew, but no injury was taken by neither friend nor foe. A makeshift barrier was erected, and now we must pass through the narrower of the channels.

I spotted these flowers in the graveyard after I'd gone down to photograph some daffodils - I'll get my daffodil shot yet!
