Woolly Verbascum

The leaves of Great Mullein are woolly, which is probably convenient on a day like today. We had snow in the morning and rain in the afternoon but it cleared up before sunset.

This leaf rosette started as a seedling last year and will flower this year - then die. A short but wonderful life!
