Revelations
As they stepped into the room, Nick turned to face Molly.
"You're enjoying this, aren't you," he said. "Playing detective, acting like a vigilante ... it's all fun and games to you, isn't it."
Molly paused before she replied. "Nick Crawford, I'm disappointed in you. I'm - we're - just doing what's necessary, that's all. It's what we do. It's what the Sisterhood is about. Taking care of things."
Nick looked away. "I'm sorry," he mumbled, once again the little boy being told off by his mate's gran.
Molly laughed. "Oh, don't be daft," she said. "Besides, when it comes to Margaret, you might have a point. Anyway, what I want to talk about is you and our Adam. And what went wrong between the two of you."
Nick looked uncomfortable. "How d'you mean?" he asked. "Far as I'm concerned, Adam just dropped me as a mate. Never had any idea why."
"No? I'd have thought a smart lad like you would've worked it out. The reason Adam didn't think he could be your friend any more was because of Sarah."
Before Nick could react, Molly turned to the door and said "now, Margaret. Don't go snooping around outside the door listening to things that don't concern you. Kindly go away."
But when the door opened, it wasn't Margaret standing there. It was Sarah.
