My favourite album

The drive to work was made so much more enjoyable this morning after finding my Carole King "Tapestry" album. It was really dirty, covered in marks, jumping all over the place but even that couldn't ruin my enjoyment of singing along. This album is probably the only one I own of which I know all the words of every song. It is an album that I got to know when I was 17, having been introduced to it by my older brother. He recorded it onto a cassette tape with "rhymes and reasons" on the others side and I would listen to it over and over on every single car journey. This album is like therapy to me. The words have so much meaning, like a self help manual almost! I normally find it very difficult to grasp onto lyrics as it's melody that usually gets my attention but this album is the exception. I was in such a cheerful mood when I arrived to work. The chirpiest I have been for ages. The power of song and singing - great for the soul.
