Self Portrait at the Museum

Today I had a fun, "city" day. I went downtown to get my hair cut, do a little shopping, spend the afternoon at the Seattle Art Museum (finally!), and meet up with the girls for a happy hour. It was a very NY kind of day, but in Seattle. The S.A.M. is a nice little art musuem (two floors) and it's free on the first Thursday of every month. It has taken me 10 first Thursdays to finally make it there for a visit. They have a nice American art section, a very nice Pacific Northwest art section, and an AMAZING Australian Aboriginal art collection. I also enjoyed a room called "The Porcelain Room". It took less than two hours to see the whole thing including reading the little plaques.
