Robin up close
This is the first Robin I've seen for weeks. He (or she) would creep up or fly down to grab a mealworm before the Blackbirds chased it away.
Because Robins live mainly in the dark shade of woods and thickets, where it searches for the movements of small invertebrates, the Robin has large eyes for its size and works in low light intensities very well. It means that it can feed earlier and later in the day than most other birds.
I must apologise for not posting in a few days, the link I use to get into Blip forgot my password and I couldn't remember the password to my other email address to get a new one. I remembered it today so I'm back again!
