Oot on the Scoot

The kids are loving the light nights and making the most of a fairly reasonable day to be out terrorising the neighbourhood on their bikes and scooters. Callum has been a wee blue blur for most of this evening; scootering up and down the pavement outside the house with his big sisters on their bikes. The wee ones were out earlier and came rushing back inside to tell us about the "medium sized cat" they had seen...it wasn't exactly the top news story of the day but for them it was like finding the Holy Grail.

I've been a busy girl today pottering in the kitchen. I made a Middle Eastern dish with sumac, roasted chicken, onions and flatbread. It was quite tasty - totally different from what we usually have on Macaroni Monday (the clue is in the name). Couldn't quite convince the kids to try it though, but they do seem a wee bit more inclined towards the chocolate crispy bar that was also made this afternoon.

Back to work tomorrow, no rest for the wicked.
